Seymour July 3- 8:30 AM – Today, Sunday July 3rd, is going to be a great day and what better way to celebrate than taking in the Budweiser Summer Holiday Classic tonight at Seymour Raceway Park.
The Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Cars bring their 50th Anniversary Tour to SRP for the only time in 2016. Bumper to Bumper of Seymour is the associate sponsor for this event.
A full field is expected to compete and the series has posted a very competitive season so far.
Scotty Neitzel is the most recent winner making a last lap charge to win his first feature this season at Manitowoc Friday night.
Billy Balog, the winner here in the last IRA visit in 2014, is the series 7 time champion, and is hot off a first career WOO Sprint Car feature win at Beaver Dam a week ago. Balog will be returning Sunday to defend his victory.
These are just 2 of the star studded field expected to challenge the banked 1/3 mile clay oval. Their last appearance also produced a spectacular non-stop 30 lap main event that completed in just under 8 minutes.
Joining the big night will be the first appearance of the IMCA Modifieds. With the first Holiday Classic series event rained out on Memorial Day, this race will be the first of a now, 2 race series which will conclude on Labor Day weekend. Tonights event will see a 30 lap feature top the night with $2000 to the winner out of over $21000 in posted awards.
The Modifieds will draw for heat positions and use passing points for the feature and final qualifying events. This is IMCA Sanctioned.
Rounding out the field tonight will be the IMCA Sport Mods. Their portion will use the normal weekly point average lineups. It is a full point night.
Payoff will be made following the racing program.
The Coors Light IMCA Stock Cars and Street Stock divisions do not compete tonight.
The pit opens at 3 PM
Late sign in and draw cutoff is at 5:15.

A full regular season lineup returns next Sunday, July 10, featuring the Coors Light IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Sport Mods and Street Stocks. The Grand National Stock Cars will also be joining the fun next Sunday, with racing at 6 PM.
